A 6-10 months intensive training program where we will train a puppy that you have chosen, or a puppy we have chosen together, and raise them in one of our trainer’s homes.
This immersive program will instill an incredibly strong foundation for your dog and will be delivered to you somewhere between the age of 5-10 months old depending on what age we acquire the puppy.
Some customization to the training plan can be accommodated at the owners’ or Allison’s discretion. Any changes will need to be agreed upon before booking.
Your dog will stay in the home with our trainers Allison and Victor. Allison and Victor have four dogs (4 yr old German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois, 3 yr old Husky, 1 ½ yr old German Shepherd, and 1 yr old Belgian Malinois) and two cats. They also have family with young children so they will have plenty of opportunities to socialize with other animals and people outside your family. Your puppy will also be taken on “field trips” to stores and other dog friendly places with plenty of distractions to help increase the strength of their training.
Allison lives in Raytown, MO. Visits and working visits are strongly encouraged while your puppy is in Allison’s care. Working visits allow you and your family to work and learn with your new puppy before they arrive at your home.
While in the program, Allison will take your dog to their veterinarian for their routine shots / checkups and any other potential health concerns at Kennedy Animal Clinic in Raytown, MO. You will be responsible for the cost of any vaccinations or medical care while your puppy is staying with Allison.
The cost of your puppy’s food will be included in the price of the raise and train unless you would like to use a different kibble, feed raw, etc. Kirkland brand puppy food will be the default food your puppy will receive.
At the end of your dog’s stay, Allison will bring your puppy to your home and conduct an in-depth training session with you and your family on a Saturday to go over everything your puppy knows and how to help you continue to strengthen their grip on commands. She will do a follow up visit the following day to ensure that you are comfortable with everything and address any concerns or issues that might have arisen since he left the day before. Allison will be available via phone / video calls following the drop off weekend to address any further concerns.
For one year after your puppy goes home with you, you have the option to schedule one 1-hour long lesson each month to continue practicing with your trainer or learn something new.
