Handler instruction includes hands – on training to give you the opportunity to work one on one with your dog while receiving instruction from one of our professional dog trainers. What is behavior modification?
Behavior modification in dog training refers to the systematic process of changing or altering a dog’s behavior. At KC Dawgz our behavior modification program prioritizes the end goal which is to work through the problem areas. Some obedience is typically taught in the process of establishing the communication system so the dog understands what the trainer wants / needs from them. Since each case is different, your trainer will set proper expectations with what can be expected from your dog as they work through their program.
Working visits are an extremely important part of the process. These sessions are 30 – 60 minutes where you’ll come to our facility to work with your dog and a trainer. This process greatly improves outcomes because it improves your ability and confidence to work with your dog in situations that are typically stressful or triggering events.
