At KC Dawgz, we believe that dog obedience should be implemented in all environments and not limited to the home. Our dogs travel away from our dog training academy to train in both public and private training environments throughout Kansas City. Our doggie students learn how to behave properly in new environments, meet new people and other dogs in public settings, and learn how to behave in areas of high distraction. Distraction proofing and teaching a dog how to behave outside of its home environment is imperative for building the best relationship possible between you and your dog.

Vaccination Requirements: Rabies (up to date), Distemper/Parvo (up to date), Bordetella (every 6 months)
Visitations: are held Monday through Thursday 10 AM-5:30 PM based on availability (not guaranteed). Book via our online portal. Visitations appointments are 15 minutes and must be booked 24 hours before they are conducted via your online portal. We are able to provide 1 visit per family per week.
Transitional Training: Group training must be completed within three months of graduation from the program.
Kick-Off: Requires dogs to be dropped off at Woofs Play and Stay (same location as KC Dawgz) on Sundays between 12pm and 5pm. If you need to drop off before Sunday, please add additional nights to your booking. There is a boarding fee of $27 per night for extra nights.
Age Requirement: Dogs must be four months of age with no maximum age.
Graduation: Go home (60-90 minute private training session) will be done on the last Friday or Saturday of the program, between 10 AM – 5 PM (our staff will call and schedule the session personally at the midway point of the training program).
Cancellation policy: At KC Dawgz, we require a 24-hour notice via email or phone for cancellations or any requests to alter training sessions. Failure to provide such notice will result in the session being counted as completed. A cancellation fee of 20% of the total service fee will apply to all cancellations to cover preparation and scheduling adjustments. While we offer the flexibility to reschedule sessions without additional charges given proper notice, please note that once clients begin their training sessions, class or packages, they are non-refundable.
