1. Scope
This policy covers the KC Dawgz QuickBooks Integration (“the Application”), an internal tool we operate to connect our own QuickBooks Online company to our internal management-reporting system. The Application is not offered to the public or to other businesses; it is used by us to access our own accounting data.
2. What the Application accesses
Through Intuit’s QuickBooks Online API, and only with read access, the Application retrieves:
- Company information (company name, country, and the QuickBooks company id);
- Financial reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable aging.
The aging reports may include the names of our customers and vendors and amounts owed. The Application does not write to, modify, or delete any data in QuickBooks — access is read-only. Access is granted through Intuit’s OAuth 2.0 authorization; we store only the resulting access/refresh tokens (see Security), never Intuit sign-in credentials.
3. How we use the data
We use the accounting data solely to produce internal management and executive reports (for example, net profit, gross margin, and cash-flow summaries for our own leadership). We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.
4. How the data is stored and secured
- QuickBooks OAuth tokens are stored in access-restricted configuration and treated as secrets; the refresh token is not shared.
- Retrieved report data is processed into summary metrics and stored in our own systems (local report files and our Google BigQuery reporting warehouse).
- Access is limited to authorized personnel and the automated reporting process.
- The connection is read-only by design, minimizing the ability to alter source data.
5. Third parties and sub-processors
We do not sell or share the data for others’ marketing. The data is handled by the following service providers strictly to operate the Application:
- Intuit Inc. — the source of the QuickBooks data (subject to Intuit’s own terms and privacy policy).
- Google LLC (Google Cloud Platform) — storage/processing of report data in our reporting warehouse (BigQuery).
- Anthropic PBC — generation of narrative report summaries via the Claude API, where financial summaries are sent for automated analysis.
6. Data retention
We retain report data for as long as needed for internal reporting and to meet tax and record-keeping obligations (generally up to seven years), after which it is deleted or archived. OAuth tokens are retained only while the connection is active and are revoked/deleted when the connection is disconnected.
7. Your choices and disconnection
Because the Application accesses our own company data, the primary control is ours: we may disconnect the Application at any time from the Intuit My Apps page or by revoking its tokens, which stops all further access. To request information about data handling, contact us at coop8585@gmail.com.
8. Children’s privacy
The Application is a business tool and is not directed to children; we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy; the “Effective date” above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted at this URL.
